Handmade Sussex Trugs
The Sussex Trug has been made in the county of Sussex for at least 200 years, becoming world renowned for its strength, durability and usefulness.
Our Trugs are hand crafted in Herstmonceux.
Traditional methods, tools & materials used.
Handle & rim cleaved from coppiced sweet chestnut.
Trug made from willow.
The wood is untreated. It is not necessary to treat the wood. However, if you wish to do so, it is recommended that linseed oil is used on the trug once a year.
All measurements are approximate. Please note - Product may differ slightly from the pictures as they are all handmade. Some sizes may be in short supply - Order early if it is wanted as a gift.
