.... a few words about Showa Gloves

If you haven't tried Showa gloves then you won't know what great gloves they are.

No they won't help you in cutting brambles and pulling up nettles but they will come into their own on those messy weeding jobs, potting up and general work around the garden.

In the years I was selling them though the shop, I never had a customer come in and complain about them. In fact almost everyone came in to buy more and tell me what a fantastic product they are, even those who were really sceptical at first.
These gloves are thin enough to allow you to 'feel' what you are doing but strong enough to wear really well and your hands don't sweat in them unlike vinyl. When they get dirty, just pop them into the washing machine with your next cool load. They dry quickly naturally, but I have been known to pop them into a cool tumble dryer as well.

I use them for everything - weeding, potting up, planting out, picking vegetables - especially those that stain the hands like broad beans. They get used for putting out the re-cycling to the composter (usually a very messy job in my house) and clearing the cat litter tray. They also come in useful for cleaning the family silver and the outdoor boots!

The different colours come in useful if you want to buy different sizes - how about pink for the ladies and orange for men. Speaking of men, they usually take a bit of persuasion at first but once they've tried them I promise they'll go on using them.
A note on sizes, these gloves need to be a snug fit, so don't go for too large a size. Most lady's hands fit well in the small size (size 6) whilst men will probably want a large (size 8). In between the size 7 fits medium hands for both men and woman.
