Parterre ONLINE Deliveries Charges for delivery are shown against each item on the EBay description. Small & lightweight items up to 2Kg. are sent by Royal Mail. Items that we sell which are heavy or bulky require proper handling. In most cases we use a NEXT DAY CARRIER (Normally City Link) to deliver your goods. The carrier will NOT leave the goods without a signature. We will notify you when your order is ready, normally the day before we send the goods, so arrangements can be made by you to recieve them. The carrier WILL CHARGE TO RE-DELIVER GOODS and the additional cost is your responsibility after we have agreed a date for the delivery. They cannot offer a time for standard next day delivery. Normal times are between 8.00 am - 5.30 pm. Outlying areas and difficult to find addresses may not always get there next day - this is normal for most carrier services & is outside our control. About our online catalogue For the last 7 or so years I have owned a shop (Parterre) in the old county town of Lewes in East Sussex. The idea of a shop, that had as its theme 'gardens and gardening', came to me when I had to come to terms with the fact that I was not going to be able to continue my much loved career of gardening - I am sure many of you will know that lower back pain that says 'no more'! Over the years many customers became friends & when I closed the shop I wanted to continue offering some of the items for sale through my website. My stock now reflects the needs of my past customers for something different and sometimes not easily found in the large 'garden centres' or DIY stores. The choice has also been widened to include the seaside and other decorative items for both indoors and out. In the past I was able to offer artists' work, in particular the driftwood art made locally in Sussex. As with all artists' work, each piece is unique and you really can buy a one off piece for the price you might have to pay for a mass produced item from the Far East. I am delighted to be able to offer some of this work on my website.
